How Our Fees Work
Clients will never need to pay out of pocket regardless of how many times we discuss your case or meet with you. We only charge a contingency fee of 20% upon reaching a settlement and obtaining compensation, which is paid as part of the insurance check. In the process, the attorney fee comes out of the insurance check, along with any advanced costs, which include any other deductions such as medical bills, child support liens, and loan payoffs. The rest of the check goes to the client.
Attorney Fees in Illinois
The Illinois statute has set 20% as the fee for workers’ compensation cases, which is always the amount we charge as a contingency fee. You will never see a higher fee for these types of cases.
Attorney Consultation Fees
If you schedule a consultation with us, you’ll never need to pay. Our consultations come at no cost to you, regardless of whether or not we determine we can represent you in a workers’ compensation case. You’ll also never need to pay when meeting with us to discuss your case or contacting us via phone or email at any point throughout the claims process.
When Are Attorney Fees Required to Be Paid?
Our clients never have to pay prior to reaching a settlement. Once our attorneys have been able to obtain compensation through an insurance check, the 20% contingency fee will come out of that check, along with other costs pertaining to the work injury. You will receive the remaining amount, with no extra costs.
